Biography of Serge THIMOTHEE, artist painter.

Been born to Poitiers in 1949, Serge Thimothée grew in an environment that left him a wide one leaves personal initiative and his artistic formation is essentially self-taught.  Although, precociously recognized by his teacher (Mr BAUD) for his blow of effective pencil and his color perception, it was encouraged to register itself to the Arts School of Poitiers in activity outside school.  Serge Thimothée there followed the courses where his work was very appreciated of its teaching.  It had nevertheless, for family reasons to enter into life activates and interrupt his formation.  It resumed not the pencil to drawing that during his military service and followed from that moment the development of his artistic work.  Itself interesting turn to turn to different techniques (feather, oils, watercolor,...)  It has concentrated his activity especially on the pastel to the oil to explore the different manners to use it and improve his technique.  Simultaneously, its different professional activities, (reflection of his curiosity for all the new positions) allowed for him to develop at once his color taste, his imagination and his sensitiveness.  In the years 1990, it meets JacADAM, renown painter, that does for him to discover a new perception of the forms and of colors.  A very strong friendship the does to divide and work together their creations during some years.  Serge realizes a page Internet on JacADAM that encourages it to present its works to the public.  It is only in 1999 that it realizes his first exposition after the creation of drawings and paints to illustrate a demonstration Philatélique to TOURS.  It receives then a médaille of the Stamp collecting for the realization of the supports of editions of the first day and seal of the post marking this event.

Since, Serge Thimothée participated in many collective and personal expositions, it continues to diversify its techniques, follows his figurative work and explores the art potentialities abstracts that it works in a workshop of Issy the Moulineaux animated by Patrick CORDEAUX.

His imagination and his continually renewed creativity, serve for him to communicate beyond the words, its feelings, its emotions and his thought.
