43 years old, Gerard BAULARD, native of the Island of Oléron, interested in drawings since he is 10, switching then to sport, in particular football. It is only at 25 years that his passion reappears and incites him to follow some trainings in Rochefort (Charente-Maritime) from 1986 to 1989 in order to improve his artistic style.
Taking as a starting point the landscapes of his native area, first of all the brushes then the knife will engrave his desires, sea, beaches, dunes, headlights, typical lanes with roses, fortifications of citadel, etc. Then, his interest for the abstract in 2005, conducts him to give life to an imaginary world; letting rove his spirit, soft curves with sharp colors become animated under his skilful fingers and leaves him dreaming, dreaming to a better world, there, somewhere, near to us, made of lights and of gaity where reign an instigating peace. Thus these curves become a living matter. By an invitation to travel, the artist proposes to the people discovering his canvas with nebular curves, to be perhaps identified themselves, while letting himself guide by their clean imaginary and slip into this world of colors, source of joys and happiness in a pure state. Progressively, time spent to carry out his works, the names of those little by little will be born and exist sometimes recalling the life last and current of the artist. He will take again this formulation that he loves : "the life is unceasingly made of sunny and cloudy periods; it is like a rainbow: it needs at the same time the rain and the sun so that its colors appear". Thanks to the life, thanks to all that it gives me, health, happiness and prosperity.......! Thanks to my wife that I adore, Thanks to "L'Art Pour Tous" for the creation of this site, Thank you very much of your visit. In a friendly way, Gerard. |
